Today we will read of the man who bore Jesus' cross on the way to Golgotha. The last verse of our Scripture reading in Matthew's account is humbling. Our Lord refused the vinegar which would have subsided His horrible pain while on the cross. He experienced the full pain, awfulness, separation, and evil of every sin we committed against God without any relief. What a God. What a King. What a Redeemer is mine. What a Savior!
