John and Sara Anderson were married on June 14, 2002, and are proud parents of two amazing children.
Their daughter, Sydney, is in college and thriving both academically and athletically. When she’s not studying, she’s most likely on the volleyball court doing what she loves. Their son, Titus, has an entrepreneurial spirit and owns his own online company and works for a local insurance company. He’s set to be married in the spring of 2026!
Together, the Andersons are passionate about family, faith, and living purposefully in every season of life.
Pinecrest is a church committed to helping people discover and grow in a personal relationship with Jesus. It is a vibrant, growing community focused on connecting people to Christ. Under Pastor John's faithful leadership and preaching, many have come to know Jesus, followed Him in baptism, and even stepped into full-time ministry.
Helping Your Joy is my way of sharing what God is doing in my personal walk and ministry. It’s really an overflow of my study, research, and the lessons God is teaching me in my life, my family, and my church. My prayer is to encourage the joy of my church family and Christian friends along the way. I certainly don’t have it all figured out—I’m still on this journey of learning and growing spiritually, and my heart’s desire is simply to be a blessing to you.
God has given me the incredible privilege of serving as the Senior Pastor of Pinecrest Baptist Church in McDonough, GA. Having served in evangelism and missions earlier in our ministry, Sara and I are passionate about equipping and training leaders around the world. We have been privileged to partner with many missionaries and pastors in hosting Help Conferences in multiple states and countries. Outside of ministry, I enjoy golf, hunting, fishing, reading, traveling, and following the English Premier League, the Georgia Bulldogs, and the Atlanta Braves! It is my prayer that Helping Your Joy will be a blessing and help to you personally and your ministry to the Lord!
