Today we will continue in our reading with the Burial of Jesus. Do not think the burial is insignificant! The Apostle Paul explicitly states in 1 Corinthians 15 that the burial is a crucial element of the gospel! Why would it matter if Jesus was buried or not? (1) You only bury someone who has actually died. (2) The burial will clearly illustrate that we who follow Jesus in salvation have actually died to our sin and old self! (3) The burial will prove that one day Jesus because He rose from the dead will raise His people who have died believing on Him. Do not underestimate how important it was that our Lord was buried!
